StatStrip Lactate Test Strips (Box of 50)
StatStrip Lactate Test Strips are intended for use only with Nova StatStrip Express 2 Lactate, Haemoglobin and Haematocrit Hospital Meter System. For quantitative determination of Lactate in fresh whole blood capillary, venous, and arterial specimens.
The Test Strip is designed with an electrode that measures Lactate levels. Lactate in the blood sample mixes with reagent on the test strip that produces and electric current. The amount of current that is produced depends on how much lactate is in the blood.
The Nova StatStrip Lactate, Haemoglobin and Haematocrit Hospital Meter System is the first FDA clearance of a device specifically indicated for use in all types of hospital patients, including critically ill patients.
- Each vial contains 50 test strips
- The shelf life is usually between 12-24 months, however this can on occasion be shorter. Once opened the test strips should be used within 3 months (or until expiry date).
Don’t forget your control solution!
Remember when using a new vial of test strips, you should always run control solution through your meter first. You will find a link for the control solution below.
