StatStrip Xpress Glucose and Ketone Control Solution – Level 1

The Statstrip Glucose and Ketone Control Solution is used as a quality control check to ensure that the StatStrip Family of Meters and StatStrip Test Strips are working properly as a system.

Each Control Solution has a known Glucose and Ketone concentration that reacts with the reagents in the Test Strip. The control solution test is used to confirm that your Meter and Test Strips are working correctly

How frequently should you run control solution through your device?

• Before using your meter for the first time.
• As required by your institutions quality control policy or local regulatory requirements.
• If a patients test has been repeated and the blood glucose results are still lower or higher than expected.
• If there are indications that the machine may not be working correctly.
• If the machine is dropped.
