What makes a Lode Treadmill?

Lode treadmills are designed to be used safely in a Sport and Medical environment. They can be used as a stand-alone device or they can be controlled by external ECG- or Cardiopulmonary equipment.

The speed and incline of the treadmill can be adjusted in small increments (0.1 km/h or %) according to the user’s specific needs and the test protocol. Lode treadmills can be accessed easily by all patient groups due to their low step height and the low motor cover allows for an unimpeded view of the users gait.

All treadmills come standard with an emergency stop button and lanyard to offer optimal safety.

Lode Katana Sport – Natural Running and Walking Experience

The Lode Katana Sport sets the standard for smooth acceleration, giving a natural running experience and offers continuous adjustability across a broad range, from 0.5 to 30 km/h with the possibility of an upgrade to 40 km/h. With a spacious running surface measuring 190 x 70 cm and an elevation range of 0 to 25%, this treadmill is expertly tailored to meet the demands of sports medicine applications. Supplied as standard with a 7″ Touchscreen Control unit and fixed side handrails.

Slat Belt Technology

The Lode Katana Sport’s exceptional performance is driven by its Slat Belt Technology, a breakthrough design comprising 106 soft grip-covered slats delivering a supremely natural walking and running experience at high speeds. The Slat Belt Technology provides athletes and patients with optimal cushioning, responsiveness, and support, promoting comfort and reducing the risk of strain or injury during vigorous workouts or medical assessments.

Service Friendly

Lode slat treadmills are almost maintenance free because of the unique slat technology no bearing-greasing is required. The only annual maintenance that has to be done is checking the running and electrical parts and the velocity calibration of the treadmill.

7″ Programmable Touchscreen Control Unit

The 7″ Programmable Touchscreen Control Unit enables testing and training on Lode devices with a controlled change in workload during exercise with the use of protocols. Protocols manage the speed and inclination of the Lode Katana Sport Treadmill during exercise in; steps, ramps or even a heart rate controlled function* without having to change this manually during exercise.

Defining the protocols beforehand not only provides a controlled workload, but also gives room to focus on the test subjects during exercise. Up to 50 protocols can be programmed.

*Requires purchase of Heart Rate option.

3.5″ Colour second screen

The 3.5″ Colour second screen is used to display information to the test subject on the treadmill, such as:

• Speed
• Elevation
• Test time
• Heart rate (when available)

Removeable Handrail

The removable handrail option for the Lode Katana Sport that allows for different use scenario’s, such as treadmill gait analysis without obstruction. The removeable handrail can be delivered individually (left or right side) or as a set for both sides.

The removable handrails may be delivered pre-installed from the factory or they can be ordered afterwards.

Safety Belt & Fall Stop

The safety belt & fall stop option has to be mounted on the optional fixed side handrails of the Lode Katana Sport Treadmill, supplied with a harness. The safety belt and fall stop prevents the test subject from falling off the running belt.

Rear elevation (-25%)

Incorporating negative elevation (-25%) introduces a dynamic dimension to the Lode Katana Sport Treadmill’s capabilities by simulating downhill training. This addition benefits athletes in recovery from specific injuries, providing controlled exposure to diverse terrains and contributing to a comprehensive training session.

Reverse walking for Katana

The option for reverse walking diversifies training potential. Allowing medical professionals to design versatile exercise programs tailored to the specific athletes requirements. Ensuring a complete approach to recovery.

Autospeed

The Autospeed feature offers an automated speed adjustment, responding to the users location on the belt. This function ensures that the user has control over their speed during their rehabilitation journey, minimising the risk of overexertion.

Adjustable Acceleration & Deceleration rate

This option makes it possible to adjust the speed of the acceleration (and deceleration) for the Lode Katana Sport Treadmill. The standard acceleration is set to 6 seconds per 10 km. The adjustable acceleration and deceleration option allows you to set the value between 3 and 24 seconds per 10 km.

Higher Speed

The standard speed for the Lode Katana Sport Treadmill is 30 Km/h, with the speed option this can be extended to 40 Km/h.

Heart Rate

This option gives the heart rate in beats per minute on the control unit and offers the possibility of heart rate controlled testing or exercising. The heart rate can be received up to 10 meters away without interference by wearing a chestrap.

Remote Control for treadmill

A remote control for Lode treadmills. It allows the control of speed and elevation without the need to touch the display.

Integrated BPM and SpO2

The Lode Katana Sport Treadmill can be extended with a stable and reliable blood pressure module and SpO2 measurement.

Lode Ergometry Manager 10 – Software to suit your needs

The Lode Ergometry Manager (LEM) is a software package used for controlling Lode ergometers and treadmills.

Easily create and edit protocols

The software enables the operator to program protocols, visualise, save, analyse treadmill data and print customised reports in PDF. Commonly used treadmill protocols are pre programmed as standard.

LEM provides a patient database and the possibility to connect to a SQL server or the Hospital Information System (HIS) with HL7 should this be required. LEM 10 is also backwards compatible with previous versions, allowing you import and use your existing database easily.

Service & Warranty

All Lode products are manufactured with precision to ensure reliability in all applications.

The Lode Katana Sport Treadmill has a 12 months parts and labour warranty. Extended warranty is available for an additional 4 years (5 in total).

Cranlea offer a comprehensive annual maintenance service, checking the running and electrical parts of the treadmill whilst calibrating the speed. It is recommended that an annual service is carried out. Contact our service team here.
