StatStrip Xpress Lactate Control Solutions are intended for use with the StatStrip family of Meters and StatStrip Lactate Test Strips as a quality control check to verify the accuracy of blood lactate test results. There are 2 levels of control – Level 1 and Level 2

Each control solution vial is a buffered aqueous solution containing D-Lactate, preservative, FD&C dye, viscosity-adjusting agent, and other nonreactive agents.

How frequently should you run control solution through your device?

• Before using your meter for the first time.
• As required by your institutions quality control policy or local regulatory requirements.
• If a patients test has been repeated and the blood glucose results are still lower or higher than expected.
• If there are indications that the machine may not be working correctly.
• If the machine is dropped.
